Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group in Sweden seeks a Lead Engineer to shape the core platform and infrastructure, guiding a senior team and reporting to the CTO/co-founder. This hands-on leadership role blends technical execution with product sense to drive a high-growth consumer scale-up.

You’ll own architecture, roadmap, and delivery while empowering engineers, collaborating with product and commercial stakeholders, and maintaining a fast-paced, collaborative culture in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in lead engineer or engineering manager role.
• Strong commercial/product sense and impact awareness.
• Comfort with startup pace, ownership and ambiguity.
• Experience mentoring, 1-on-1s and roadmap alignment.
• Hands-on with TS, Python, Node.js, Next.js, AWS, IaC.
• Experience with MongoDB and BigQuery.
• AI-enabled approach to product engineering and delivery.
• Consumer-grade product experience and collaborative culture.
• Hybrid work model; English fluency; visa relocation not available.

The role!

As lead engineer, you will sit as part of the senior engineering leadership, reporting directly to the CTO/co-founder. You'll lead an incredibly talented & senior team focused on building the core platform, infrastructure - central to the product and organization.

This is a hands-on role, where you'll be directly contributing to the product & technical roadmap, defining architecture, building & shipping product, whilst empowering a highly autonomous team of engineers who know what they are doing. On the personnel side, you'll have ownership over the roadmap, sprint planning, delivery, optimizing the team & engaging with product & commercial stakeholders to deliver on super exciting, complex engineering challenges and launches.

Requirements:

• 7+ Years of experience at least as a software engineer
• 2+ Years as lead engineer, hands-on engineering manager or similar, whether it be a formal title or not
• Strong commercial and product sense: You have a high level overview and reasoning based on the commercial & product impact of what you are your team and building, not stuck in the details of the code
• Startup pace, ownership, autonomy: You're comfortable in ambiguity, high pace, shipping fast
• Experience mentoring, coaching, holding 1-1s, performance reviews, roadmap alignment on the personnel side, and you are comfortable
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Next.js, AWS, IaaC and comfortable working with data stores and warehouses like MongoDB and BigQuery
• AI enabled: using modern AI tools & LLMs to optimize your product engineering and delivery
• A genuinely impactful consumer-grade application and platform, sitting at the edge of tech!
