Job summary

Realforce is seeking a Lead DevOps & Platform Engineer to take complete ownership of our cloud infrastructure, deployment platforms, and developer tooling. You will be both strategist and builder, architecting scalable systems while coding to empower product teams.

You will drive automation, reliability, and security, building self‑service platforms and CI/CD automation to enable fast, safe software delivery. Hybrid/remote options available in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Malmö.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience managing production cloud infrastructure on AWS and containerized workloads in Kubernetes.
• Modern Infrastructure as Code with Pulumi (or Terraform) and declarative deployments via GitOps tools (Argo CD).
• Strong experience maintaining automated delivery pipelines (Jenkins/Argo) and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Experience with logging/monitoring stacks (ELK, Sentry, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Background operating production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Elasticsearch).
• Ability to guide engineers on cloud security, networking, and DevOps practices in Agile settings.

Realforce is looking for a Lead DevOps & Platform Engineer to take complete ownership of our cloud infrastructure, deployment platforms, and developer tooling. As our sole DevOps specialist, you will be both the strategist and the builder - architecting scalable systems while getting your hands dirty in the code to empower our product engineering teams.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do

• Drive Platform Strategy & Architecture: Own the long‑term vision for our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience.
• Build & Scale AWS & Kubernetes: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, high‑availability cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Automate Everything: Implement Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi and drive GitOps workflows using Argo CD.
• Elevate Developer Experience: Build self‑service platforms and CI/CD automation (Jenkins/Argo) to enable product teams to ship code fast, safely, and independently.
• Observability & Operations: Own system health, logging, and monitoring using Sentry and the ELK Stack, taking the lead on incident response and post‑mortems.
• Database & Data Reliability: Ensure performance, backup, and scaling strategies for our production databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Elasticsearch).
• Champion Best Practices: Act as the go‑to expert for cloud security, networking, cost optimization, and modern DevOps culture across the engineering organization.

Requirements - Who You Are & Key Skills

• Full Ownership Mindset: Comfortable being the primary technical expert for infrastructure, balancing high‑level planning with daily execution.
• AWS & Kubernetes: Deep, hands‑on experience managing production cloud infrastructure on AWS and containerized workloads in Kubernetes.
• IaC & GitOps: Modern Infrastructure as Code expertise with Pulumi (or Terraform) and declarative deployments via Argo CD.
• CI/CD & Scripting: Strong experience maintaining automated delivery pipelines (Jenkins/Argo) and proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Observability: Practical experience setting up and managing logging and monitoring suites (ELK, Sentry, Prometheus/Grafana, etc.).
• Data Infrastructure: Background operating production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, Elasticsearch) with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Pragmatic Collaborator: Ability to guide software engineers on cloud security, networking, and DevOps practices in an Agile setup.

Nice to Have

• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud cost optimization (FinOps).
• Disaster recovery planning and multi‑region AWS architectures.
