Job summary

Tenth Revolution Group is hiring a Lead Engineer for the Foundations team in Stockholm. This is a hands-on leadership role with ownership of the core platform architecture and a close-to-code stance.

You will run 1:1s, performance reviews, and recruitment, organize sprints, and help shape the technical roadmap in collaboration with Principal Engineer and stakeholders. A strong backend/infrastructure focus is valued, with AI and AWS exposure appreciated.

We're hiring a Lead Engineer for the Foundations team at one of Europe's fastest-growing healthtech companies - $100M ARR, growing 20x faster than industry incumbents, and trusted by 300,000+ customers across Europe.

About the team

You'll join a small, senior, self-sufficient engineering team. Product-minded and startup-paced - close to our customers, moving quickly, with real ownership over technical direction. Using AI where it genuinely adds value, built on a strong traditional software core - not a business that lives or dies by the AI hype cycle.

The role

This is a hands-on Lead Engineer position, not a step away from the code. You'll:

• Own software architecture and technical decisions for our core platform
• Stay properly embedded in the stack - this isn't a "used to code" leadership role
• Run 1:1s, performance reviews and support recruitment for your team
• Organise sprints and help shape the technical roadmap
• Work closely with our Principal Engineer and stakeholders on technical direction
• Balance commercial and product thinking with deep technical delivery

Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Python, AI, AWS - modern software development across our AI and App teams.

What our client is looking for

A very senior engineer first - software architecture experience is a must. You'll take on people leadership (1:1s, reviews, recruitment) but this isn't a full-time management role; we need someone who wants to stay hands-on while growing into broader ownership. Backend/infrastructure-leaning engineers are welcome - full-stack experience is a plus but not required for someone with strong Lead Engineer credentials.
