Job summary

Valmet Aktiebolag in Sund is seeking a Lead Engineer to join the EI&C Engineering team within PEx Scandinavia. You will own control solutions for cooking and fiberline processes, developing, programming, and commissioning advanced automation software and DCS applications, closely with customers and project teams.

You will lead technical delivery, analyze performance, and drive process optimization across international projects.

Qualifications

Experience with industrial automation systems and process control.
DCS programming and control application development.
Knowledge of Advanced Process Control (APC) principles and implementation.
Experience in cooking, fiberline, or continuous processing industries is advantageous.
Ability to work independently while collaborating in international project teams.
Strong English communication.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement advanced process control solutions for pulp mill cooking processes.
Program and configure DCS applications and control strategies.
Participate in automation system design, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Analyze process performance and identify optimization opportunities and improved operational stability.
Work closely with process engineers, project managers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical leadership and guidance within your area of expertise.
Support customer service assignments, upgrades, and optimization projects.
