Job summary

Cobolt AB in Stockholm, Sweden, part of HÜBNER Photonics, is seeking a Test Engineer to join the R&D team. You will work closely with electronics, software, mechanical engineering, and optics to test laser prototypes throughout development.

You will plan and document qualification programs, develop test methods, and analyze results, contributing to CE and electrical safety compliance and EMC considerations.

Qualifications

• A BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Experience with testing, verification, characterization, or qualification of technical products.
• Experience with measurement equipment and test methods, including optical metrology, and programming skills in LabVIEW and/or Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret test data and draw conclusions.
• Good written and spoken Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, characterization, and verification of laser prototypes throughout the product development process.
• Plan, execute, and document technical qualification programs, including defining test methods and analyzing results.
• Develop and improve test methods, procedures, and equipment to evaluate product performance and reliability.
• Analyze test data, identify deviations and risks, and communicate findings and recommendations to the team.
• Support CE and CDRH marking activities, including laser safety, electrical safety, EMC, and RoHS2 requirements.
