Job summary

Cobolt AB in Stockholm, Sweden, part of HÜBNER Photonics, seeks an Electronics Design Engineer to join the R&D team and contribute to advanced laser electronics from design to prototyping and testing.

You will collaborate across electronics, software, mechanical engineering and optics, shaping next-generation laser products. The role emphasizes hands-on development, documentation, and manufacturing support.

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or similar with strong theoretical background.
Very good knowledge of analog and digital electronics with ≥5 years of experience.
Experience using simulation tools like PSpice.
Good knowledge of PCB design and layout using Altium Designer.
Experience with manufacturing documentation and CE marking/certification (EMC, EMI).

Responsibilities

Designing and developing new electronics for next-generation laser products.
Developing customer-specific electronics solutions and adaptations.
Further developing and improving existing products and electronics.
Creating manufacturing documentation for complete PCB assemblies, including PCB layout.
Building, testing, and evaluating prototypes in a laboratory environment.
Performing testing, characterization, verification, and troubleshooting.
Supporting production and sales with technical expertise.
