Job summary

Coherent Corp is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in Sweden to lead wafer probe and bar test activities for InP laser diode products. You will drive equipment improvements, automation, and data integrity to enhance yield and production efficiency.

You will collaborate with Engineering and R&D on qualification, new product introduction, and developing advanced testing solutions, while mentoring technicians and engineers in test methodologies and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Industrial experience in semiconductor test engineering.
• Experience with wafer probe and bar testing.
• Knowledge of InP technology is highly desirable.
• Practical experience with SPC, DOE and MSA.
• Data analysis or automation using Python, JMP, MATLAB or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own wafer probe and bar test processes within your designated area.
• Provide robust test capabilities for production, product development, qualification and reliability activities.
• Support wafer‑level and bar‑level testing of InP optoelectronic products.
• Supervise test operations and proactively identify quality and yield issues.
• Improve test yield, throughput, measurement repeatability and data integrity.
• Develop new test methodologies, automation and data‑analysis solutions.
• Establish and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) within production.
• Lead test process qualifications and measurement capability studies.
• Define test plans and evaluation methods for new products, processes and equipment.
• Partner with Process Integration, Device Engineering and R&D on product qualification.
• Leading test equipment investments, technical evaluations and supplier selection.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of test failures and production yield losses.
• Create technical reports, work instructions, specifications, qualification reports and project plans.
• Train and mentor technicians and engineers on test equipment, software and procedures.
• Acting as the subject matter expert for wafer probe and bar testing of InP laser diodes.
