INTERFACE PLANNER (CONSULTANT)

Location: Boden, SE

Roster: M-F, 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 12 months, renewable contract with possibility of extension

Project: Boden - 6 billion EUR green steel project site

We are on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. Our green steel production in Boden will be powered by one of the world’s largest green hydrogen plants, running on renewable electricity. Instead of emitting large amounts of CO?, as in traditional steelmaking processes, our primary emission will be water. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. The facility will impact, and shape, the surroundings as well as the perception of Boden, with the aim that it will be seen as a symbol for the much-needed green transition of heavy industry.

Role Purpose

Coordinate schedule-driven interfaces across areas and functions, ensuring key dependencies, handovers, constraints and cross-area risks are visible and governed. The role does not own the integrated project schedule; Project Controls remains accountable for schedule control.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the schedule interface register and dependency log.
• Coordinate regular schedule interface cadence with Project Controls, Areas, Construction and Commissioning.
• Identify cross-area milestone logic gaps, dependency risks and handover constraints.
• Ensure construction and commissioning interface needs are visible in planning routines.
• Translate interface risks into clear planning inputs, actions and escalation points.
• Support the 6-week lookahead interface process with dependency and milestone logic.
• Provide regular schedule-interface reporting to Head of Interface Management and IMS leadership.
• Ensure alignment between schedule interface actions and Project Controls governance.

Required Experience And Capabilities

• Planning, project controls or schedule coordination experience in large industrial or construction projects.

• Ability to work with Primavera P6, MS Project or equivalent project planning tools, as applicable.
• Structured approach to dependency management and action tracking.
• Strong communication skills across planning and delivery teams.

Success Measures

• Schedule interface register is active and used by the project.
• Cross-area dependency risks are visible before they affect critical milestones.
• Project Controls has clear, timely inputs from Interface Management.
• Schedule interface ownership is clear and avoids duplication with Project Controls.
