Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support the delivery of a major industrial transformation programme in Northern Sweden. The role involves planning, scheduling and monitoring activities to ensure milestones are met.

You will develop and maintain schedules across workstreams, coordinate with engineering, construction and procurement teams, produce reports and forecasts, and drive improvements to planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules across multiple workstreams to align with milestones.
  • Produce short-term and long-term schedules matching forecasted activities.
  • Coordinate with teams to prioritize activities based on resources and priorities.
  • Work with engineering, construction, procurement, and PM to ensure schedule alignment.
  • Monitor progress and forecast, identifying delays or risks proactively.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports and progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts to minimise disruption to delivery.
  • Contribute to improvements in planning processes and scheduling methods.
  • Ensure scheduling activities comply with project procedures and contracts.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to support the delivery of a major industrial transformation programme in Northern Sweden. This flagship project forms part of one of Europe's most significant sustainability and energy transition initiatives, involving the development of large-scale industrial facilities and associated infrastructure. Working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will play a key role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities to ensure successful delivery against critical milestones.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment with key project milestones and deliverables.
  • Produce and manage both short-term and long-term schedules in line with project requirements and forecasted activities.
  • Coordinate with project teams to prioritise activities based on resource availability, project criticality, and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and project management teams to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment across all functions.
  • Monitor project progress and schedule performance, proactively identifying potential delays, constraints, or risks.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, progress updates, and forecasting information to key stakeholders.
  • Support the identification and resolution of scheduling conflicts to minimise disruption to project delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including planning processes, scheduling methodologies, and system enhancements.
  • Ensure scheduling activities are completed in accordance with project procedures, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in project scheduling, planning, or resource coordination within a complex project environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working effectively within fast‑paced project teams.
  • Strong understanding of planning methodologies, forecasting, resource loading, and schedule management principles.
  • Ability to make informed, data‑driven decisions when assessing schedule impacts and recovery strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency with project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
Preferred Experience
  • Background in industries such as construction, engineering, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other project‑driven sectors.
  • Experience working on large‑scale industrial or capital projects.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and project controls best practices is advantageous.
