Job summary

Optimizely is expanding its operational capability and seeks a Situation Manager / Incident Commander to lead real-time command of high-severity incidents across our DXP platform, including CMS, Commerce, PaaS, and cloud hosting in Azure and GCP. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain situational awareness, and drive rapid restoration for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Incident Commander or Situation Manager.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams under pressure and make structured decisions quickly.
Deep understanding of ITIL Incident Management.

Responsibilities

Lead real-time incident command for high-severity events.
Maintain situational awareness and manage timelines, scope, and communications.
Coordinate Engineering, SRE, Support, and Customer Success teams through incident lifecycles.
Communicate clearly to executives, product teams, and customer-facing groups.
Provide customer-facing status updates during Major Incidents and ensure external communications meet standards.
Run incident bridges and drive action owners and follow-ups.
Document incidents and support RCA/RFO and executive summaries.
Drive continual improvement of incident processes and playbooks.
