Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB seeks a Lead Engineer - Plants to drive technical leadership across Plants and Civil engineering for onshore and offshore HVDC converter stations. You will coordinate global teams, manage interfaces, and ensure design solutions meet customer requirements, quality standards and project goals.

You will lead engineering activities in tenders and projects, guiding technical leads, project managers, and interface managers, while coordinating disciplines and representing the

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership or multidisciplinary experience.
• HVDC, transmission systems, substations, or large energy infra experience valued.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical leadership across Plants and Civil engineering teams and interfaces.
• Primary technical contact for customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Drive engineering activities in tenders and projects with technical leads and interface managers.
• Manage technical risks and ensure quality, safety and engineering processes.
• Support installation and commissioning with expert technical guidance.
• Lead development of new technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Define Plants and Civil solutions for onshore HVDC and offshore platforms.
• Coordinate activities across Electromechanical Design, Station APU, Civil Engineering, and Auxiliary Systems.
• Represent Plants in customer meetings, partner discussions and reviews.
