Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden, Västerås, invites applications for a Design Lead role focused on the auxiliary power system for HVDC projects. You will lead the design team, ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across global teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, leadership experience, and strong English communication. Based in Västerås or Ludvika, with opportunities for professional growth and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience within auxiliary power, selectivity studies or leading installation/commissioning of low voltage equipment.
• A couple of years of technical competence and leadership experience, including planning, delegation, guidance and follow-up.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility and manage all technical aspects, budget, and timeline of the auxiliary power in HVDC projects.
• Guide and coordinate your team of Designers and daily work tasks, including design of auxiliary power systems and FAT.
• Lead customer meetings and interact with other internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate your team’s work tasks and manage contacts with other departments and external suppliers.
