Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden AB seeks a Lead Engineer - Plants to lead technical design and coordination for onshore/offshore HVDC converter stations. Based in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden, you will drive strategic technical decisions, coordinate global teams, and ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met.

The role requires 5+ years of engineering leadership in HVDC or related energy infrastructure, fluency in English, and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset.

Qualifications

Academic degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related).
5+ years of engineering experience, including leading technical teams.
HVDC, transmission systems, substations or large-scale energy projects are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Provide strong technical leadership across Plants and Civil engineering disciplines and interfaces.
Coordinate global teams and manage interfaces between disciplines.
Drive engineering activities in tenders and projects with technical leads and project managers.
Manage technical risks and ensure compliance with quality and safety processes.
Represent the Plants discipline in customer meetings and technical reviews.
