Hitachi Energy invites applications for an R&D Engineer in its HVDC R&D team. The role focuses on developing advanced control strategies for MMC and LCC HVDC systems, including MTDC configurations, with strong emphasis on controller design and system performance analyses.
You will conduct dynamic and stability studies, evaluate transient responses, and contribute to roadmaps shaping the future of HVDC control systems.
Competenze
- PhD or MSc in Power Systems, Electrical Machines and Drives, or Power Electronics Control.
- Preferred: experience in HVDC or FACTS technologies.
- Strong knowledge of MMC topologies and HVDC control systems.
- Proven expertise in small-signal stability analysis and transient simulations.
Mansioni
- Design and optimize control algorithms for MMC- and LCC-based HVDC systems.
- Perform small-signal stability analysis, harmonic studies, and transient simulations.
- Contribute to system-level dynamic performance evaluations and continuous improvements in control strategies.
- Support strategic technology roadmaps and shape future HVDC control systems and power electronics design.
