Job summary

Metsä Tissue AB in Småland seeks an HSEQ Manager to lead safety, quality, and environmental programs at the Nyboholm (Kvillsfors) plant. You will develop policies, coordinate risk assessments, and drive a culture of safety across the site.

The role reports to plant management and requires strong leadership, Swedish and English proficiency, and experience in HSEQ. The position is based at Smålandsbruken, Nyboholm/Kvillsfors, Sweden.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership and ability to lead and develop a team.
• Excellent knowledge in occupational safety, quality, and environment.
• Strong communication skills, decision-making, and ability to build a positive work environment.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSEQ policies to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards.
• Support line organisation in conducting risk assessments and addressing risks.
• Lead safety walks and safety talks with high quality.
• Ensure quality controls are performed according to company standards and environmental legislation.
• Lead and coordinate HSEQ training to create a strong and sustainable safety culture.
• Participate in and lead projects to implement new processes and improvements in the HSEQ area.
• Act as a point of contact with authorities and external suppliers for HSEQ‑related issues.
