Job summary

Nipromec Group is seeking a Site HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities on high-voltage substation and data center construction projects in Sweden.

You will promote a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to maintain top safety standards throughout construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Valid NEBOSH Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
• Experience in Site HSE Management on construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of Swedish HSE regulations and site safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the site HSE management system.
• Develop, review, and monitor risk assessments, method statements, and safe work procedures.
• Act as the primary HSE contact for project teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Monitor HSE performance and provide regular reports and recommendations to project leadership.
• Provide HSE leadership and oversight for HV substations and data center construction environments.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate HSE activities across multiple contractors and subcontractors on site.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and training sessions.

Job description

As a Site HSE Manager, you will lead Health, Safety, and Environmental activities on complex high-voltage substation and data center construction projects in Sweden. Serving as the key HSE focal point on site, you will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction and commissioning activities.

You will be responsible for promoting a proactive safety culture, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring that all project activities are executed in full compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and project HSE requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the site HSE management system.
• Develop, review, and monitor risk assessments, method statements, and safe work procedures.
• Act as the primary HSE contact for project teams, contractors, and client representatives.
• Monitor HSE performance and provide regular reports and recommendations to project leadership.
• Provide HSE leadership and oversight for activities related to high-voltage (HV) substations and/or data center construction environments, ensuring compliance with project-specific safety requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate HSE activities across multiple contractors and subcontractors working on site.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and training sessions.
• Support incident investigations and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and workforce engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish HSE legislation and project-specific standards.

Your Profile

• Valid NEBOSH Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
• Proven experience in a Site HSE Management role within construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of Swedish HSE regulations and site safety requirements.
• Experience managing HSE activities in multi-contractor environments.
• Ability to lead investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Strong field presence with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all organizational levels.
