Job description

Behind the energy that powers our everyday lives are specialists maintaining some of the industry's most critical equipment: turbines, generators and heat exchangers. At TGS-Sahala, our people keep this equipment running safely and reliably around the world. It\'s a world of complex technology, demanding challenges and expertise that is difficult to replace.

TGS-Sahala is part of Elcoline Group, a growing Nordic industrial services company with around 1,000 professionals. TGS-Sahala is the Group’s service business for turbines, generators, heat exchangers and related systems, bringing together around 200 specialists in Finland and Sweden.

We have a strong team spirit and an entrepreneurial way of working, with low hierarchy, open communication and genuine pride in our expertise and the work we do. People are trusted to take initiative, help each other and find practical solutions.

As the business continues to grow, there is plenty of room to improve how we work and build better ways of doing things together.

What You\'ll Be Working With

We\'re looking for an experienced, hands‑on HR Operations Partner to take primary responsibility for operational HR for our growing organisation of around 80 employees in Sweden, while also supporting selected HR processes across the Nordics.

Based at our workshop in Västerås, you\'ll work close to the people, managers and operations you support. In our technically demanding, project‑based business, HR questions are rarely one‑size‑fits‑all. Neither is everything fully built or automated yet, and that\'s part of the opportunity in this role. Alongside owning day‑to‑day HR operations, you\'ll help reduce manual work and move towards smarter, more consistent ways of working with colleagues across Sweden and Finland.

Operational HR in Sweden
You\'ll Manage Day‑to‑day HR Across The Employee Lifecycle, Including
  • Supporting managers and employees with employment matters, Swedish employment law and collective agreements
  • Handling employee relations, rehabilitation and work ability matters
  • Managing union relations, consultations and local negotiations
  • Coordinating payroll with our external provider, ensuring accurate and timely HR inputs
  • Coordinating recruitment, preboarding, onboarding and other employee lifecycle processes
  • Coordinating work environment matters with HSEQ and occupational health services, including relevant Swedish SAM/OSA requirements, and maintaining compliant HR administration, including contact with relevant authorities
Building better HR across the Nordics
Responsibilities

Alongside your Swedish responsibilities, you\'ll take operational ownership of selected shared HR processes, working closely with our Finnish colleagues. This includes:

  • Global Mobility: Coordinating activities with project teams, employees, payroll and external specialists
  • HR systems and digital tools: Acting as a key user, supporting testing, implementation, user adoption and data quality
  • Continuous improvement: Simplifying and standardising HR processes, guidance and documentation across Finland and Sweden, reducing manual work and improving how we use our systems
What We\'re Looking For
  • Relevant HR experience in Sweden and the ability to manage operational HR matters independently through the whole employment lifecycle
  • Good practical knowledge of Swedish employment law and collective agreements
  • Experience with employee relations, union cooperation, rehabilitation and work ability matters
  • Experience advising managers on complex employment matters
  • A structured, pragmatic approach to managing competing priorities and improving existing ways of working
  • Full professional fluency in Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work

You don\'t need to have done everything in HR, nor do you need to know every answer immediately. But you should know how to find the right one, involve the right people and move things forward. What matters most is strong operational HR capability in Sweden, sound judgement and a practical, hands‑on approach.

Experience That Would Be Particularly Valuable
  • Industrial services, energy, technology or another project‑based business
  • Complex working‑time, compensation, travel or payroll arrangements, including external payroll providers
  • HR systems, digital tools or automation to reduce manual work
  • Nordic or international HR operations and cross‑border processes
Location and ways of working

Your primary workplace is our workshop in Västerås, Sweden, where you\'ll be part of the everyday life of the business and work closely with colleagues across the organisation. This is a hybrid role with an ongoing expectation of working on‑site at least three days per week, as being present helps you get to know our people, understand the operations and build strong working relationships. During onboarding, you should expect to spend more time on‑site. Once you are settled into the role, you can work remotely on the other days, depending on business needs.

As we also have an office in Norrköping, regular on‑site visits there will be part of the role. The role may also involve occasional travel to Finland and other countries for international collaboration.

What We Offer
  • Good benefits package in addition to your salary
  • A hands‑on HR role combining operational ownership in Sweden with selected Nordic responsibilities
  • The opportunity to shape and improve HR operations as the business continues to grow
  • Close collaboration with a warm and supportive group of colleagues across Finland and Sweden in an international working environment
  • The opportunity to contribute to a business where skilled people keep critical industrial equipment running
