ABB Robotics Västerås, Sweden, is seeking a Global Lead for Production Validation to shape the validation strategy across sites in Sweden, China and the USA. You will lead a team of validators, drive hardware/software validation, and ensure world-class quality in every robot produced.

Expect cross‑functional collaboration with Production, R&D, and Project Management in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in Production Validation, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Test & Verification, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives in a global and cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of validation engineers, creating clarity, engagement, and a strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate projects and strategic initiatives impacting Production Validation, including hardware/software implementations, system revisions, certifications, and validation methods, while proactively managing risks and dependencies.
  • Own the sprint planning process for the validation team, establishing priorities, tracking actions and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary interface between the validation team, Production, R&D, project teams, and management, building strong partnerships and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
  • Drive regular status meetings involving Production Validation stakeholders across our production sites, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement of validation processes, reporting, planning, and governance for both local and global activities, with a focus on increasing efficiency, reducing lead times, and enabling faster, high-quality testing.
  • Over time, contribute hands-on to validation and testing activities when needed, leveraging your technical expertise to support the team and help solve complex challenges.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving validation activities across our sites in Sweden, China, and the USA, ensuring alignment, transparency, and execution of key priorities within the global validation organization.
