Job summary

Aritco is seeking a Global Strategic Purchaser to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, develop supplier performance, and support international growth. You will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Production, Quality and Finance, with international supplier interaction and occasional travel.

Responsibilities include leading supplier selection, negotiations, and cost reduction while focusing on value engineering and supplier development within a global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Several years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience.
• Experience with global supply chains and international suppliers.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and performance.
• Good understanding of supply chain risks and cost drivers.
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing: Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies. Lead supplier selection, RFQs, benchmark analyses and cost breakdown evaluations.
• Supplier development: Build long-term supplier relationships. Lead performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, sustainability and cost.
• Commercial negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and commercial agreements. Secure strong commercial terms, pricing structures and supply conditions.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Engineering in new product development and supplier involvement.
• Digitalisation and analytics: Use procurement analytics to support sourcing decisions and drive adoption of digital tools.

As Global Strategic Purchaser, you will play a key role in securing a competitive, sustainable and resilient supply chain. Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, developing supplier performance and supporting Aritco's continued international growth.

You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Production, Quality and Finance, balancing strategic long-term initiatives with business-critical operational priorities. The role includes international supplier interaction and occasional travel.

Main Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing: Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies. Lead supplier selection, RFQs, benchmark analyses and cost breakdown evaluations. Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
• Supplier development: Build long-term supplier relationships. Lead performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, sustainability and cost. Support continuous improvement and compliance with Aritco's Supplier Code of Conduct.
• Commercial negotiations: Lead contract negotiations and commercial agreements. Secure strong commercial terms, pricing structures and supply conditions. Manage supplier risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Engineering in new product development and supplier involvement. Support Operations and Production with supply chain optimisation initiatives.
• Digitalisation and analytics: Use procurement analytics to support sourcing decisions. Drive adoption of digital procurement tools and AI-supported processes. Support spend analysis and category management development.

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience working with global supply chains and international suppliers.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier performance.
• Good understanding of supply chain risks, cost drivers and procurement processes.
• Fluent English & Swedish, both written and spoken.

Meritorious Experience

• Experience sourcing from Asia and China.
• Knowledge of category management methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems, procurement analytics tools and AI-supported applications.
• Knowledge of sustainability and ESG requirements within procurement.
