Job summary

Akind Group is seeking a Group Payroll Operations Manager to lead a nine-person payroll team across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Germany, with a hybrid leadership model combining remote and onsite work.

You will drive transformation, ensure high-quality payroll delivery, manage external partners, and align strategy, people, and technology in a fast-evolving, international environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of leadership experience, including remote teams.
• Experience in Payroll, HR operations, Finance operations, or other heavily regulated environments.
• Strong change management and understanding of how systems support operational processes.
• Excellent communication and fluency in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a nine-strong payroll team across markets.
• Ensure payroll runs are high quality and on time for all companies and countries.
• Manage relationships with external payroll partners and follow up.
• Drive internal knowledge sharing and keep the team updated on laws, regulations, and collective agreements.
• Act as main escalation point for day-to-day operational problems.
