Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Software Engineer to join a Global HVDC Control & Protection team. You will contribute to software design, development, integration and testing for real-time and virtual environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration, customer requirements handling, and documenting software features across the lifecycle, with opportunities for international travel for commissioning and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, High Voltage, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of customer requirements, design reviews and testing activities in HVDC.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all delivery phases from design to deployment for HVDC control software.
• Develop control and protection software for projects.
• Maintain software functionality and documentation.
