Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Team Manager for Software Solutions within HVDC Control & Protection Software. You will lead a System Software team responsible for robust base applications, ensuring high-quality results that meet current and future needs.

The role requires a proven people manager, a bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering, and strong English communication. Swedish is a bonus. You will influence strategy, coaching, and continuous improvement across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or software engineering or related field.
• Experience as a people manager with a senior team.
• Strong English communication; Swedish a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a high-performing System Software team (approx. 15 engineers).
• Drive delivery, quality, and long-term sustainability of base software solutions.
• Shape team composition, development plans, and competencies to meet evolving needs.
• Report progress, risks, and initiatives to senior management.
