Job summary

Dellner Couplers AB, a Wabtec company, is seeking a Global ESH Manager & Local Q-ESH Manager Sweden to lead environment, safety and health across our global operations and our Falun site.

You will report to the Head of Coupler Operations, manage a team of 10, drive ESH strategy, ensure ISO certifications, and collaborate with QHSE colleagues at 15 sites, delivering practical guidance for production while communicating in Swedish and English.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least seven years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience from a production or shop-floor environment.
• Experience auditing management systems.
• Strong communicator in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Drive and continuously improve global and local ESH agenda, coordinate targets and corrective actions with site QHSE functions.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, including the sustainability report.
• Ensure reliable environmental data, legal compliance, chemical management and welding certification processes.
• Develop and maintain IMS for IRIS/ISO 22163, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025 and ECM.
• Coordinate customer ESH audits and manage customer requirements for chemicals, environment and sustainability; lead internal audits for environment and work environment.
• Support Swedish operations in meeting internal, customer and legal requirements for environment and work environment.
• Collaborate with the Wabtec Transit organization to converge EHS systems.

Would you like to lead and develop environment, safety and health (ESH) across a global organization, and at the same time make a difference at our site in Sweden?We are now looking for an experienced and committed Global ESH Manager & Local Q-ESH Manager. This is a key role for someone who wants to combine global strategic responsibility with close involvement in our Swedish operations in Vika, Falun.

You report to the Head of Coupler Operations and lead our ESH work in close collaboration with especially the QHSE Managers at our 15 sites, Integrated Management System & Certification Manager and Local Operations Manager. You will lead and support a team of 10 colleagues, fostering collaboration, engagement, and professional development.

Your responsibilities

• Drive and continuously improve our global and local ESH agenda, and coordinate ESH targets, plans and corrective actions with the site QHSE functions.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, including our sustainability report.
• Make sure we have reliable processes for environmental data, legal compliance, chemical management and welding certification.
• Develop and maintain the management system for IRIS/ISO 22163, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025 and ECM for environment and work environment.
• Coordinate customer ESH audits and manage customer requirements for chemicals, environment and sustainability. Lead internal audits for environment and work environment.
• Support our Swedish operation in meeting internal, customer and legal requirements for environment and work environment.
• Collaborate with the Wabtec Transit organisation to support the convergence of the two EHS systems.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you have a university degree in engineering or equivalent, along with at least seven years of relevant work experience and a solid technical understanding. With hands-on experience from a production or shop-floor environment, you understand operational realities and can translate EHS requirements into practical guidance for production sites. You are experienced in working with and auditing management systems and are comfortable leading team activities. You are also a strong communicator who works confidently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

A role with both global reach and local presence. You will work closely with colleagues in Operations, Engineering and Procurement, as well as with customers and suppliers, which gives you a broad view of the business. You will help shape how our sites work with safety, sustainability and environment, and your work will directly affect how we perform in customer and certification audits.
