The opportunity

We are now looking for an experienced and hands‑on Global Category Manager – Indirect Procurement to join our team.

In this role, you will take global ownership of the Indirect Material & Services category, supporting both global functions and local sites across our international organisation. With an annual spend exceeding EUR 25 million, this is a high‑impact role with significant opportunity to create value through strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimisation, risk management, and transformation.

Our largest indirect spend is concentrated across Sweden, China, Bulgaria, Italy, India, and the Netherlands, while Consilium also operates through market companies across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

You will work across borders, functions, and cultures, partnering with stakeholders and suppliers around the world to build a world‑class global procurement organisation.

Your Responsibilities
  • Own and develop global categories and sourcing strategies within indirect materials and services.
  • Define procurement requirements and lead the identification, evaluation, selection, and onboarding of suppliers.
  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and local sites.
  • Lead negotiations and establish commercial agreements that deliver sustainable value for Consilium.
  • Drive continuous improvement across global procurement, with a strong focus on cost, quality, efficiency, and business value.
  • Build and develop strategic supplier relationships aligned with Consilium’s values, business objectives, and sustainability goals.
  • Drive supplier performance across quality, delivery precision, lead times, cost, payment terms, communication, and innovation.
  • Lead cross‑functional procurement projects and create clarity and alignment across different functions and geographies.
  • Support business development, transformation, and M&A projects from a procurement perspective.
  • Participate in and lead global coordination initiatives.
  • Identify supplier risks and develop mitigation plans to secure continuity of supply, quality, and business performance.
Your mandate
  • Develop and implement the global sourcing strategy and plans for indirect materials and services.
  • Lead supplier selection globally based on business value, quality, risk, and total cost.
  • Negotiate and enter into supplier agreements in consultation with the Head of Department.
  • Drive supplier changes or termination where suppliers no longer meet Consilium’s business, values, quality or sustainability requirements.
  • Lead and make procurement decisions within global business projects.
Who are you?

You are an experienced Global Category Manager or Strategic Procurement professional who enjoys operating in an international, fast‑moving environment.

You are hands‑on, resilient, and commercially driven, with a strong focus on delivering measurable results. You bring structure to complex situations, pay attention to detail, and know how to turn strategy into action.

At the same time, you understand that successful global procurement is about more than negotiations and contracts. You know how to build trust, influence stakeholders, create alignment, and develop long‑term supplier relationships across cultures and functions.

You are comfortable challenging existing ways of working, creating clarity where there is complexity, and leading change without having all the answers from day one.

Your background
  • A Master’s degree in engineering, supply chain, economics, or a related field. Alternatively, substantial relevant experience in strategic sourcing and procurement may compensate for the lack of a degree.
  • At least five years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally covering several indirect categories such as professional services, IT software and services, facility management, staffing, freight, and other indirect materials and services.
  • Proven and exceptionally strong negotiation skills, preferably gained in an international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial agreements, contracts, and relevant procurement law.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to build long‑term relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Experience with ERP and procurement systems, as well as strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • A strong results orientation and a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Experience leading projects in an international and cross‑functional environment.
  • The ability to drive transformation, challenge the status quo, and empower cross‑functional teams to reduce costs and increase business value.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
Why join Consilium?

At Consilium, you will have the opportunity to make a global impact in a business where what we do genuinely matters.

You will join an organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation, where procurement has an important role to play in building a stronger, more scalable, and more sustainable business.

This is a role for someone who wants global responsibility, real ownership, and the opportunity to shape how procurement creates value across an international organisation.

We look forward to hearing from you!
