Job summary

Consilium Safety Group in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks an experienced Global Category Manager – Indirect Procurement to lead the global sourcing of indirect materials and services. You will own supplier strategy across Sweden, China, and Europe, drive cost optimisation and risk management, and collaborate across functions to deliver measurable value.

This hands-on, international role requires five+ years in strategic procurement and strong negotiation skills to build long-term supplier

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, supply chain, economics, or related field, or substantial equivalent experience.
• At least five years in strategic procurement across indirect categories.
• Strong negotiation skills in international environments.
• Knowledge of contracts and procurement law; ERP experience.
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems; proficient in MS Office.
• Results oriented with a track record of achieving targets.
• Experience leading international, cross-functional projects.
• Ability to drive transformation and cost reduction.
• Excellent English written and spoken skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop global indirect materials and services categories and sourcing strategies.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and onboarding globally.
• Develop and execute global sourcing plans with internal stakeholders and sites.
• Drive supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
• Lead cross-functional procurement projects across geographies.
• Support business development, transformation, and M&A from procurement perspective.
• Identify supplier risks and develop mitigation plans.
