Job description

Category Specialist – Group Procurement

To further enhance alignment in processes and ways of working across Scandi Standard, and to support our strategic priority of driving sustainable growth and value creation, we are strengthening Group Procurement by adding a Category Specialist.

About Group Procurement

In Group Procurement, we create value across Scandi Standard by taking a professional, long-term, and strategic approach to procurement. You will help strengthen this work by combining category-specific insight with a solid understanding of each company’s needs, while identifying and leveraging synergies across the Group.

If you are motivated by working in an international environment and contributing to the development of Scandi Standard as one unified company with efficient and aligned processes, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

The Role: Category Specialist

In this role, you will support and act as a tactical partner to the Group Procurement Managers. Leveraging your expertise in sourcing tools and strong analytical capabilities, you will support procurement initiatives by delivering detailed data analysis, preparing sourcing projects, and identifying key negotiation levers.

You will also play a central role in:

  • Analyzing and comparing supplier offers and tenders
  • Calculating savings and value creation opportunities
  • Identifying initiatives to optimize procurement processes and ways of working
  • Ensuring compliance is maintained

As a Category Specialist, you will be part of an exciting transformation journey. Your ability to identify, consolidate, and utilize both internal and external data will be critical to your success.

In both direct and indirect procurement, you will work with complex categories where data may be fragmented, unstructured, or not immediately available. You thrive in this kind of environment and know how to create clarity, uncover valuable insights, and bring structure to complexity. With your curiosity, business understanding, and structured approach, you will make an important contribution to our continued procurement development.

You will also play an important role in the development of sourcing tools and are expected to take a leading role in driving optimization projects and improving procurement processes.

Profile: Digital Expert with Strong Process and Analytical Skills
Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Experience from a strategic procurement function, ideally within an international organization, or experience in a sourcing role
  • Strong interest in sourcing processes, tools, and data analysis
  • Proven experience with procurement digital tools and methodologies
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and work with complex datasets
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Power BI, and M3
  • Solid communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities
  • Fluency in English, as well as in the local language of the country in which you are based
  • A proactive, positive mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment

You are service-oriented, highly curious, digitally minded, and a quick learner who enjoys working with both data and people.
