Job summary

ABB Sweden is seeking an Automation Commissioning Engineer to lead design, testing, commissioning, and handover of advanced automation systems for global customers. You will travel internationally and collaborate with a global team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project deliveries.

The role combines engineering, testing, and customer interaction from design through handover, with a focus on driving high-quality, reliable automation solutions in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Hons or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical schematics, and system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the design, configuration, and verification of automation solutions.
• Performing system testing and validation in our in-house test environment.
• Planning and executing commissioning and start-up activities at customer sites.
• Coordinating and following up on testing and commissioning activities.
• Supporting Project Managers and Commissioning Managers in technical and operational matters.
• Participating in technical discussions with customers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring project deliveries meet contractual requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Identifying, documenting, and communicating changes throughout the project execution phase.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during testing and commissioning.
