KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Budget, Business Plan & Forecast Ownership
- Leads and oversees the monthly forecast process, ensuring timely, accurate, and aligned financial outlooks.
- Supports annual Budget and Business Plan preparation in line with plant strategic objectives.
- Coordinates inputs across operational and commercial stakeholders, challenging assumptions and ensuring consistency.
- Provides clear visibility of risks, opportunities, and variances to plan, supporting proactive decision‑making.
Operational Finance Support
- Analyze business trends affecting performance, identifying causes and solutions related to P&L, balance sheet, and operational issues.
- Provide cost accounting oversight for the business including standard costing, inventory and fixed asset accounting.
- Oversee Engineering financial reporting and provide clear guidance to help drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Ensure optimization of processes, systems, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency.
Business Case Ownership & Investment Evaluation
- Own the new business case lifecycle and provide financial recommendations which align with the business strategy.
- Leads data collection, assumption validation, and financial modelling to produce accurate, decision‑ready financial expectations.
- Evaluation of makes vs. buy decisions, expansion, and other investment business.
- Provides clear visibility of commitments, investment requirements, returns, risks, and sensitivities.
Leadership & Team Support
- Dedicate support to Business Leaders in the plant with financial guidance, direction and creating a business culture of financial awareness driving economic value creation.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships across the business.
- Develop finance team members alignment with the PHINIA Business Operating Model and ensure succession.
What we’re looking for
Education/Experience
- Degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of eight years’ experience with increasing responsibility.
- Manufacturing accounting experience is required.
- CPA or CMA (or equivalent) preferred.
- Prior experience with Monitor and/or OneStream.
- Knowledge of US GAAP preferred.
Key Skills
- Experienced manufacturing finance leader with strong commercial mindset.
- Proven ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and investment evaluation.
- Comfortable owning decisions in complex, cross functional environments.
- High Level of Excel skills and capability.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls/ICFR.
