Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Project Management department, ensuring alignment with site and business objectives.
- Own and manage the department budget.
- Act as a member of the site leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, operational excellence, and business decision-making.
- Lead multiple/parallel projects and engineering change requests according to plant necessity.
- Develop project plans (scope, timeline, cost, resources, risk, quality, communication, procurement) and guide overall project timing with the team.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and implement plans that fit within timelines and milestones.
- Conduct regular project team meetings; ensure accountability for deliverables and timelines; manage risk escalation and resolution.
- Support customer meetings and participate in all functional discussions with customers.
- Manage and track prototype phases (A: alpha, B: beta, C: gamma) up to PPAP and production ramp-up.
- Lead and apply PDP processes, PDP Gate reviews, and support engineering in PDP design reviews.
- Create and update Project Online reporting; identify, analyze, resolve, or escalate risks promptly.
- Support BU initiatives for tracking flawless launches of all product programs.
- Support and, where appropriate, lead production activities per change management processes.
- Foster a positive, coaching culture; share knowledge across cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively; prepare and deliver regular presentations to customers and PHINIA management.
- Lead preparation for regular project business case updates; ensure costs (purchased, capex, volume, pricing, engineering) are collected for finance consolidation.
- If a project business case misses targets, lead the team in cost-improvement activities and recovery planning.
- Facilitate collaboration among team members across sample and cross-functional teams to improve efficiency.
- Manage resource allocation to optimize team productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration is desired.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a team management and coordination role, with an automotive background.
- Strong understanding of project management planning, methodologies, and best practices.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills; ability to plan and execute projects with timely resource management.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate cross-functional project teams.
- Proven leadership ability to motivate and inspire teams toward common goals.
- Track record of delivering projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Keen analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Advanced English proficiency.
