Job summary

As a Software Engineer at Sectra, you’ll be at the core of our product development. This role offers a mix of technical challenges and opportunities to work alongside dedicated colleagues. Your key responsibilities include:

• Solving complicated and interesting challenges in our backend using C# and C++.

Extensive software development experience is a requirement for this role, preferably within enterprise backend development. We are looking for someone with at least 5 years in the industry who has owned systems over time.

A few core abilities matter in any senior role with us. We look for sound technical judgement: the ability to break down ambiguous problems, weigh trade-offs and choose a direction you can defend. We look for someone who takes ownership beyond their own code and helps colleagues do better work. And we look for a strong communicator who can explain technical reasoning to colleagues, partners and customers in a clear, effective and constructive way.

In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:

• Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within engineering, IT or similar with a strong academic record


• Have a strong interest in new and innovative technology and software development


• Be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written


• Value customer contact and thrive in a fast-paced technological environment

We consider it a great asset if you:

• Have experience using AI tools as an aid in software development


• Have experience of software development in agile ways of working


• Speak more languages than those required above


• Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, sports leader, music, horseback riding, singing or flying for example


• Don't like to sit in unnecessary meetings, we prefer to think and develop software
