Job summary

Tata Technologies in Sweden seeks a Design Engineer – Battery Enclosure Mechanics to join an electrification team designing robust battery enclosure systems for next‑gen electric vehicles. You will craft enclosure components, develop 3D models, and document engineering work across the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering degree, CATIA V5 expertise, Teamcenter PLM experience, and prior automotive development exposure.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong experience with CATIA V5.
Experience with TCPLM / Teamcenter PLM.
Automotive product development experience.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of steel structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop battery enclosure components and mechanical systems.
Create and maintain 3D models and engineering documentation.
Support product development activities throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure technical solutions and project deliveries.
Balance priorities, technical requirements, and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced development environment.
Contribute to design reviews, engineering investigations, and problem-solving activities.
Support continuous improvement of products, methods, and engineering processes.
Ensure design solutions meet quality, performance, manufacturing, and project requirements.
