Job summary

NKT, based in Sweden, seeks a Category Specialist – Construction Procurement to drive category strategies across European sites. You will manage construction-related categories, conduct sourcing processes, and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery and supplier performance. Travel across Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in procurement and/or category management within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in sourcing processes and contract negotiations.
• Experience negotiating Swedish standard contracts such as ABT 06, AB 04, and ABK 09.
• Knowledge of construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for construction spend.
• Conduct sourcing processes including RFI, RFP, and RFQ.
• Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
• Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Support contract administration and mitigate supply chain risks.
