Job summary

Join NKT as a Category Specialist – Construction Procurement to shape European construction sourcing strategies. You will manage civil works, materials, and subcontracting, coordinating with project managers and engineers to align with budgets and timelines.

You will drive tender processes, evaluate supplier bids, and negotiate contracts while monitoring supplier performance and risk across sites in Europe. Travel to various locations in Sweden and Europe will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–7 years of procurement/category management experience in construction or infra.
• Experience in sourcing, contracts negotiations, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with ABT 06/AB 04/ABK 09 contracts and FIDIC/NEC frameworks.
• Experience with SAP/Ariba or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for construction spend across Europe.
• Run sourcing processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and evaluate bids.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreements.
• Support contract administration and mitigate supply chain risks.
