Job summary

Cummins in Sweden seeks an Engine Field Service Technician to perform on-site engine diagnostics, repair and maintenance within the Distribution Business Unit in Maestra, Sweden. Working hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm with 100% on customer sites.

You will travel to customer sites and ensure safety and environmental standards while delivering quality service. The role requires hands-on field service experience, technician training, and fluency in English and Swedish, with a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Technician qualification or vocational diploma in a technical discipline.
• Engine/Automotive technician training preferred.
• Hands-on field service experience.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Fluent English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic repair on Cummins engines at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using service procedures and tools.
• Prepare parts, tools, and equipment to complete service activities safely.
• Validate repairs by confirming resolution of customer concerns.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or Supervisors.
• Champion safety and environmental standards and participate in improvements.

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician to join our team, specialising in field-based engine diagnostics, repair and maintenance within our Distribution Business Unit (DBU) organisation in Maestra, Sweden.

Working hours: 7.00 am - 4.00 pm

Work conditions: 100% on customer sites

Responsibilities

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic repair activities on Cummins engines and related components at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues using approved service procedures, electronic diagnostic tools, and specialized equipment.
• Prepare required parts, tools, and equipment to complete service activities efficiently and safely.
• Validate repairs by confirming successful resolution of customer concerns.
• Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to senior Field Service Technicians or Supervisors.
• Champion a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace by following Health, Safety and Environmental standards and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Technician qualification or a vocational diploma in a relevant technical discipline.
• Completed technical training (e.g., Engine Technician, Automotive Technician, or a comparable qualification) is preferred.
• Initial hands-on field service experience and solid knowledge of engine systems.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for service assignments.
• Strong customer focus with a reliable and service-oriented working style.
• Fluent level of English and Swedish.
