Job summary

IAR, part of Qt Group, is seeking a Field Application Engineer to collaborate with the Sales team on embedded projects, toolchains, CI/CD setups, and compliance needs. You will uncover challenges, remove roadblocks, and drive opportunities from initial conversations to adoption and long-term success.

As a technical and commercial partner, you will enable evaluations, deliver training, and bring customer insights back to product teams to shape future solutions.

Qualifications

• Educational background in a relevant field.
• Extensive embedded industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of C and/or C++.
• Practical understanding of embedded developer workflows (builds, debugging, source control).
• Strong communication skills in English (technical to non-technical audiences).
• Customer-focused and proactive with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to progress opportunities and support regional revenue goals.
• Lead technical discovery by understanding embedded environments and workflows.
• Support evaluations through environment validation, issue reproduction, troubleshooting, and guidance.
• Assist onboarding and adoption with targeted technical help and training.
• Act as a trusted technical partner to customers, collaborating with Sales and Customer Success.
• Provide customer insights to product teams and create technical material to increase value.
