Job summary

• Create Technical Safety Concepts for systems with safety goals or ASIL-classified requirements.
• Ensure system solution verification (e.g., in a boxcar, HIL rig, or test car).
• Plan system development according to the Function Implementation Plan (FIP).
• Process incoming requirements, including legal and market requirements.

The role

Department Hybrid and installation is seeking a System Designer for fuel system functions to join our Electrical Development Process team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining electrical system solutions for fuel system functionalities, ensuring compliance with technical, time, and cost requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, use advanced modeling tools, and contribute to system safety and verification.

Responsibilities

• Describe and realize electrical subsystems in system solutions that fulfill technical, time, and cost requirements, in cooperation with Function Realisation Responsibles (FRRs).
• Develop system solutions using designated modeling tools (primarily Elektra).
• Create Technical Safety Concepts for systems with safety goals or ASIL-classified requirements.
• Ensure system solution verification (e.g., in a boxcar, HIL rig, or test car).
• Define, in cooperation with FRRs, what the electrical subsystem will realize.
• Plan system development according to the Function Implementation Plan (FIP).
• Process incoming requirements, including legal and market requirements.
• Analyze and agree upon input requirements from legal, attribute, and function realization areas.
• Create requirements for software and hardware components within the system and coordinate with component designers.
• For ASIL-classified systems, create or update Project System Safety Plans and Test Plans, and support Safety Case creation.
• Participate in system alternative decision-making (System Decision Alternative and System Design Form).
• Develop system solutions and define included ECUs, sensors, and actuators, as well as their connections and interactions.
• Communicate with and seek support from the System Architect regarding subsystem construction and implementation.
• Provide input to Diagnose Data Base (DDB), Load Data Base (LDB), and Signal Data Base (SDB).
• Perform S-FMEA (System Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Ensure realization of the system.
• Recommend new system solutions using System Decision Alternative (SDA) and System Design Form (SDF).
• Recommend deviations regarding incoming requirements.
• Solid experience in the relevant technical field and preferably fuel system functions
• Good knowledge of clients development processes.
• Participation in several system development projects.
• Proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., TeamCenter, Car Weaver and Elektra).
