Senior Electrical & Automation Engineer - Ludvika

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our team in Ludvika. This is a senior role for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently, and combining hands‑on technical expertise with coordination and project leadership.

The position is 100% on-site in Ludvika, Sweden.

The Role

You will work with electrical and automation solutions in technically challenging industrial environments. The role covers both engineering and project-related responsibilities, with close collaboration across engineering disciplines, suppliers, and customers.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Electrical and automation engineering for industrial applications
  • PLC and automation system development
  • Industrial networks and communication solutions
  • Cybersecurity related to industrial automation and OT environments
  • Technical coordination and project leadership
  • Troubleshooting, modifications, and upgrades of existing systems
  • Supporting commissioning and implementation activities
  • Electrical design and engineering documentation
  • Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines
  • Technical support to customers and internal engineering teams

Your Background

We are looking for someone with approximately 5-6 years of relevant experience or more, preferably within industrial automation, process industry, steel, mining, energy, or other demanding industrial environments.

Experience or knowledge in several of the following areas is considered valuable:

  • Electrical engineering and industrial automation
  • PLC systems and automation platforms
  • MicroSCADA
  • MAC systems
  • VMware and virtualized environments
  • Electrical design and engineering
  • Project management or technical project leadership
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting

Experience from steelworks, mining, energy, or heavy industry is considered an advantage.

  • Good command of English is required.
  • The ability to understand and communicate in Swedish is considered a strong advantage.
