Job summary

Windy Scandinavia AB is seeking a Design Engineer to develop technical drawings and BOMs for production of boat models in Sweden. You will join a small engineering team supporting production, working in design development and engineering.

You should have a university degree in yacht design, naval architecture or marine engineering, experience with composite yachts, fluent English, and hands-on 3D software skills including Rhino.

Job description

As a Design engineer your role will be to work developing technical drawings to improve our production flow, including client customisation solutions. You will be part of the team of engineers that supports the production. Working with design development and engineering, your main tasks will be the following.

• Designing and engineering of all aspects of new boat models for production in Sweden, developing bill of materials and 3D/2D drawing documentation for production.

• Create, manage and maintain CAD models in a PDM system

• Communicating with external design teams, suppliers and other partners.

• Ensuring the vessel complies with RCD, CE and SCV Regulations.

Who you are:

We are looking for a person with a genuine interest in boats and with a strong technical background in the marine field. You have previous experience working with composite yacht building. You are fluent in English and are capable to work within small team of 2-3 people. Must have experience of working with 3D software and Rhino.

Required qualifications:

A university degree in yacht design, naval architecture or marine engineering. The position is 100% based in Västervik Sweden.
