Job summary

Hitachi Energy Sweden, Ludvika is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain backend data pipelines powering our Grid Integration analytics. You will implement scalable ETL/ELT processes, ensure data quality, and collaborate with architects to deliver robust data platforms.

You will work within a structured team following PPS guidelines and ITIL/ITSM processes, maintaining compliance with data privacy regulations while enabling advanced analytics and BI across Hitachi Energy's GI business.

Qualifications

• Proven data engineering experience in enterprise-scale data warehouses or cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency with SQL and modern data orchestration languages (Python/Scala for Spark).
• Strong understanding of data modeling and architecture principles.
• Experience following PPS guidelines and ITIL/ITSM processes for operations.
• Demonstrated collaborative problem solving across architects, developers and BI analysts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines that feed data warehouses.
• Collaborate with Data Platform and Analytics Architects to design data structures and schemas.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and master data alignment.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data issues, and process ITIL-based requests.
• Follow PPS and global data privacy/security standards in deployments and environments.
