Job summary

COWI is seeking an experienced MEP Lead to steer the design and delivery of data centre facilities. You will coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines across all project phases, ensuring integrated, resilient and energy-efficient solutions.

We value experience from data centres or similarly complex environments, strong stakeholder engagement, and capability to collaborate with clients and partners in multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary building services projects.
• Experience with data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial projects, healthcare facilities, or other technically complex environments.
• Understand the interface between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in high-performance facilities.
• Thrive in multidisciplinary environments and collaborate with clients and colleagues.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MEP design and advisory services for data centre facilities.
• Act as the MEP Lead from concept development to detailed design and implementation.
• Ensure technical quality, integration, and coordination across mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
• Support project development from early concept through design, tender, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Engage with customers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate stakeholders across complex data centre projects.
• Support digital design processes, BIM coordination, and clash resolution.
• Contribute to development of innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable data centre solutions.
• Support business development activities and build client relationships in the growing data centre market.

BSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
