Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Cost Controls Specialist to apply cost management concepts with limited supervision. You will analyze costs, develop solutions using standard procedures, and leverage industry best practices to support project controls.

You will work within an EPC context, contributing to Earned Value Management, cost reporting, and forecast development while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, timely financial insights for project performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of relevant EPC experience.
• Must know about earned value systems.
• Strong problem‑solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of the project controls execution plan.
• Support project accounting with cost to billings reconciliations.
• Understand project chart of accounts and its relation to estimate and scope.
• Assist in the forecast system and cost reports.
• Support change management and cost estimates for verifications.
• Audit IFC quantity take-offs and ensure alignment with turnover systems.
