Job summary

St1 Biokraft AB in Sweden seeks a Contract Manager / Project Procurement Manager to lead procurement and contract management for growth projects, from development through handover to operations. You will own project contracts, lead tendering and negotiations, manage changes and claims, and ensure delivery to quality, schedule and cost, working closely with engineering and site teams.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in project procurement and contract management within energy, process industry, construction or comparable environments.
• Experience leading negotiations for major EPC, turnkey, construction or equipment contracts.
• Understanding of contract law and standard agreements such as ABA99, FIDIC, AB/ABT, NL/NLM or Orgalime.
• Technical ability to link engineering requirements to contractual commitments and follow up on delivery.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel and spend time on site during project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop contracting strategies and procurement plans, including EPC, multiple-contract and hybrid approaches.
• Identify and assess suppliers and contractors with the technical capability and delivery capacity our projects require.
• Lead tender processes, supplier evaluations and negotiations for major construction, equipment and EPC contracts.
• Work with engineering to ensure that technical requirements, scope boundaries and acceptance criteria are clearly reflected in contracts.
• Negotiate pricing, liabilities, performance guarantees, delay damages, and securities, with appropriate risk allocation.
• Follow up supplier performance, contractual milestones, inspection and test plans, documentation and equipment deliveries.
• Manage change orders and claims, maintain clear records and support cost control throughout execution.
• Review payment milestones and invoices against contractual terms and actual progress.
• Coordinate contractual matters across suppliers, project management, engineering and site teams, including obligations related to health, safety, security and the environment.
• Complete final settlements, support handover to operations and follow up warranty obligations.
• Help develop practical procurement and contract management processes, templates and routines.
