Construction Manager – Fisketorvet Copenhagen Mall
We are seeking a highly skilled construction manager to lead the planning, delivery, and execution of a range of construction projects at Fisketorvet Copenhagen Mall. The role requires strong project management, technical oversight, and stakeholder collaboration in a fast‑paced, sustainable development environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert input on construction matters—including timelines, costs, and technical aspects—to support internal strategies, leasing negotiations, business case development, and annual budgeting.
- Lead planning, feasibility assessments, and cost estimation for corporate projects and landlord works for major tenant refurbishments and redevelopments.
- Oversee the contracting process and ensure effective execution and delivery of construction projects in line with agreed scope, quality, timelines, and budget.
- Actively monitor ongoing works and drive performance, ensuring projects meet high standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Manage and challenge external technical advisors, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality designs, documentation, and execution support; provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Coordinate, align, and monitor external partners—including developers and contractors—especially during building rights projects or adjacent developments that impact Fisketorvet.
- Work closely with tenants on redevelopment projects, ensuring alignment with landlord specifications and the overall destination vision.
- Secure permits and liaise with authorities throughout construction phases; navigate regulatory processes efficiently to support project timelines and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (leasing, asset management, operations, marketing, finance) to ensure alignment and seamless project execution and facilitate clear communication across the organization.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in construction management, project management, or a related engineering discipline, preferably within commercial real estate, retail, or mixed‑use developments.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, cost management, and technical design.
- Proven capability to manage multiple stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams.
- Experience with large‑scale refurbishments, tenant fit‑outs, or redevelopment projects is highly desirable.
- Strong project planning, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with Danish construction regulations, permitting processes, and fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken).
