Job summary

Stegra is seeking a Social Sustainability Coordinator to advance constructive relationships with the local community and drive meaningful social initiatives across our operations in Boden, Northern Sweden.

You'll plan, coordinate and deliver engagement activities, manage communications, and monitor outcomes while supporting a safe, inclusive workplace that values every voice. This is a hands-on role in a growing company with a focus on sustainability and people.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both Swedish and English.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Solid coordination and project-management skills, with the ability to lead activities from planning through execution.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and documentation skills, including the ability to use relevant digital tools for scheduling, communication, reporting and feedback collection.
  • Experience planning, coordinating or leading group activities, events or community initiatives is an advantage, but not required.
  • A background in hospitality, recreation, event management or another people-focused role is an advantage, but not required.
  • A proactive, self-driven, adaptable and approachable way of working, with high integrity and a strong commitment to inclusion and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, respectful and constructive relationships with the local community.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver community engagement activities in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage communication between Stegra and the local community, including responding to questions, feedback and concerns.
  • Handle community grievances professionally and in a solution-oriented manner, escalating sensitive or significant matters when appropriate.
  • Monitor, document and report on community-related activities, feedback and initiatives.
  • Operate and maintain Stegra's meeting place and lookout tower, ensuring that they remain safe, welcoming and well-managed; the meeting place is open to the public one day per week from 13:00 to 17:00.
  • Examples of responsibilites but not limited to are; schedules, logistics, promotion, communication and collaboration with partners.
  • Gather feedback, monitor participation and use engagement outcomes to continuously improve activities and experiences.
