Job summary

Stegra is seeking a Social Sustainability Coordinator to build constructive relationships with the local community and support meaningful social sustainability initiatives around Stegra’s operations. The role entails planning and delivering community engagement, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring open, respectful communication.

Fluency in Swedish and English is required, with a proactive, inclusive approach.

• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both Swedish and English.
• Strong relationship-building abilities and a service-oriented mindset.
• Solid coordination and project-management skills, with the ability to lead activities from planning through execution.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and documentation skills, including the ability to use relevant digital tools for scheduling, communication, reporting and feedback collection.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, respectful and constructive relationships with the local community.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver community engagement activities in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Manage communication between Stegra and the local community, including responding to questions, feedback and concerns.
• Handle community grievances professionally and in a solution-oriented manner, escalating sensitive or significant matters when appropriate.
• Monitor, document and report on community-related activities, feedback and initiatives.
• Operate and maintain Stegra’s meeting place and lookout tower, ensuring that they remain safe, welcoming and well-managed; the meeting place is open to the public one day per week from 13:00 to 17:00.
• Examples of responsibilities but not limited to are; schedules, logistics, promotion, communication and collaboration with partners.
• Gather feedback, monitor participation and use engagement outcomes to continuously improve activities and experiences.

What you’ll do

Right now, we are looking for a Social Sustainability Coordinator for our Sustainability & Environment. The team is responsible for building constructive relationships with the local community and supporting meaningful social sustainability initiatives around Stegra’s operations.

Specific to this role, the day‑to‑day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.

• Build and maintain strong, respectful and constructive relationships with the local community.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver community engagement activities in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Manage communication between Stegra and the local community, including responding to questions, feedback and concerns.
