Job summary

Google Sweden seeks a Community Development Manager to advance data center community engagement and workforce development. You will guide cross-functional teams, analyze community needs, and drive partnerships with government and non-profits to support responsible expansion.

You will shape data-driven programs, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and ensure community benefits align with Google’s growth objectives, equity goals, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience working with local municipalities, associations, non-profit leaders, education institutions, and community members.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead global data center community development strategies, investments, and impact for Sweden.
• Engage with key opinion formers, community groups such as municipal leaders, industry partners, economic development organizations, schools, education institutions, and non-profits to ensure initiatives are centered around community needs and accelerating business objectives.
• Collaborate with team leaders and peers to develop strategies to scale sub regional community affairs coverage in emerging markets, focusing on place-based frameworks and partnerships to produce location-specific programs.
• Develop communication tools and processes to educate local communities about the role and impact of our data centers, and create locally focused investment plans that are self-sustaining.
• Engage with key opinion formers, community groups as municipal leaders, industry partners, economic development organizations, schools, education institutions, and non-profits to ensure initiatives are centered around community needs.
