Job summary

Saab, a leading defence and security company, seeks a senior leader to head IT Operations & Support within Group IT. You will drive end-user services, IT operations, asset/configuration management, and incident/problem control in a global organisation, reporting to the Group CIO.

You will lead senior leaders, partner with business and tech stakeholders, and steer the IT transformation strategy including AI, cloud-native technologies and modern digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of IT management experience, including several years of leadership of leaders.
• Extensive experience in IT operations, IT service management, service desk, incident and problem management, asset management, and digital workplace services.
• Relevant experience from ITIL and ITSM-processes.
• A strong background in IT support or management, with proven success in driving both tactical and strategic improvements.
• Proven experience driving transformation with focus on cloud, AI and modern IT infrastructure and large-scale technology initiatives.
• Experience from large global organisations; ideally including defence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and transform Saab’s IT Operations & Support capabilities, ensuring reliable, secure, and customer-focused IT services.
• Drive transformation with focus on cloud, AI and modernisation.
• Enable employees to work effectively through high-quality support services and digital workplace experiences.
• Ensure stable and resilient IT operations through effective incident, problem, asset, and configuration management.
• Define and drive the roadmap for IT Operations & Support, including self-service, remote capabilities, automation, ITSM governance and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement by reducing recurring incidents and improving service quality.
• Oversee staffing, tools, and vendor services, balancing cost with service delivery.
• Represent Group IT in cross-functional forums and engage with senior stakeholders.
