WeQuel is seeking an experienced, business-oriented Business Controller in Södertälje to support R&D finance, drive planning, and act as a partner to leadership. You will influence costs, report on KPIs, and help shape the future financial management model in a global environment.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, work across networks, and contribute to targeted, sustainable financial steering and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in business controlling.
• Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken; Swedish knowledge is an advantage.
• Advanced analytical and systems skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.

We at WeQuel are now looking for an experienced, business-oriented Business Controller in Södertälje. You will join a diverse team of business controllers supporting the client's Research & Development business, with a focus on steering and planning processes and tools. You will support and drive financial processes, take part in strategic decision-making and make sure financial targets are met. Research & Development is going through major changes in ways of working, systems and roles, and Controlling is changing with it. Controlling works in a global context and plays an important role as a business partner. You will help design and implement the future financial management model.

As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with one of our clients, who are leading companies within the transportation, automotive and industrial sectors. There you will help optimise processes, strengthen financial steering and create sustainable, long-term solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

You will report to the Head of R&D Controlling, EE Applications & EE Platform. You will work across networks and leadership teams, with regular contact with the client's R&D and other Controlling functions. Your core team is four business controllers and the manager. It is a diverse team supporting the Electrics, Electronics and Software development business within the client's R&D. Outside the core team, you will have a broad network across R&D controlling and other controlling functions. You will be part of something bigger and get an inside view of the entire transportation industry.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in business controlling

• Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field

• Proficiency in English, written and spoken; knowledge of Swedish is a strong advantage

• Advanced analytical and systems skills: Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI

• SAP experience is a strong advantage

• Experience working with senior stakeholders and management teams, ideally in an international environment

• Able to build trusted relationships and influence decisions across finance and non-finance functions

• Proven ability to drive business performance in a structured, analytical and results-oriented way

• Strong business acumen and a problem-solving mindset in complex, changing environments

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation

• High integrity and a real interest in products, operations and business drivers

Assignment details

• Start date: 2026-10-01

• End date: Approx. 3 months after start

• Location: Södertälje

• Workload: 100%

• Remote: 100% ONSITE (5 days/week on site)
