Job summary

WeQuel seeks a Business Controller in Södertälje to support R&D Controlling within Battery & Charging. You will provide financial insights to leadership and help shape the future financial model for R&D, working across global teams in a consulting capacity.

You will partner with R&D leaders, perform financial planning and analyses, and contribute to KPI reporting in an international environment, collaborating across networks to drive business performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Business Controlling.
• Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field (Bachelor's degree/equivalent accepted).
• Professional fluency in English; Swedish language is a bonus.
• Advanced digital and analytical skills with Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint; SAP is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and drive performance.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in an international environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration.
• High integrity and genuine interest in electrification and battery technology.

We at WeQuel are now looking for a Business Controller in Södertälje, where you will become an important part of our client's R&D Controlling team within Battery & Charging, with a focus on acting as a trusted business partner to R&D leadership. You provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and contribute to the successful development of future battery and charging solutions, in an organization where ways of working, systems and roles within R&D are currently undergoing major change.

Your responsibilities:

• Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Business partnering through financial analysis, business cases and scenario assessments to support decision-making
• KPI follow-up, reporting and presentations
• Development of future Controlling processes, methods and tools across R&D
• Business partnering to R&D leaders, including active participation in global management teams
• Ongoing collaboration across networks and leadership teams, with regular contact with R&D and other Controlling functions

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in Business Controlling
• Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field (Bachelor's degree/equivalent accepted)
• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken; fluency in Swedish is beneficial
• Advanced digital and analytical skills, including Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint; experience with SAP is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and drive business performance in a structured, analytical way
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and management teams in a complex, international environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions across finance and operations
• High integrity, curiosity and genuine interest in electrification, battery technology and the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry
