Job summary

Sway Sourcing in Södertälje seeks an experienced Business Controller to join an international R&D organization, acting as a trusted partner with finance, engineering and management to provide financial insights.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting and analytics, contribute to business cases, KPI follow-up, and help evolve controlling processes and tools in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Controlling.
• Interest in electrification and sustainable transport solutions.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in an international environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; SAP is a plus.
• English is required; Swedish is beneficial.

Are you passionate about combining finance, technology, and business and interested in contributing to the development of next-generation sustainable solutions?

We are looking for an experienced Business Controller to join an international R&D organization operating in a technology-driven industry. In this role, you will work closely with R&D leadership and act as a trusted Business Partner, providing financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

The organization is currently undergoing significant transformation, including new ways of working, systems, processes, and responsibilities. The Controlling function is evolving alongside the business, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of future financial management models.

The Role

You will join a small, collaborative Controlling team and work closely with engineering leaders, project managers, finance colleagues, and other stakeholders across an international R&D organization.

Your responsibilities will include financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as financial analysis, business cases and scenario assessments to support management decisions. You will also work with KPI follow-up, reporting and presentations and contribute to developing Controlling processes, methods, tools and ways of working.

As a Business Partner, you will support senior R&D stakeholders with financial steering and business performance insights and participate in cross-functional networks and management forums.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

• At least 3–5 years of experience in Business Controlling

• An interest in electrification, battery technologies, and the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry, with a desire to contribute to sustainable transport solutions

• Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and drive business performance in a structured and analytical way

• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and management teams in a complex and international environment

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions across both finance and operational functions

• Excellent analytical and digital capabilities, including advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP is considered a strong advantage

• High integrity, curiosity, and an interest in understanding products, technology, operations, and key business drivers behind successful R&D organizations

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to create value through teamwork, networking, and cross-functional cooperation

• Professional fluency in English is required; fluency in Swedish is beneficial

The assignment is full-time and on-site, with good opportunities for extension. Candidate selection and interviews are conducted continuously.
